H.S. BOYS SOCCER 7 area players selected for Mid Penn 1st team

A total of seven area players were selected to the first team of their division when the Mid Penn Conference boys soccer all-star teams were chosen recently.

In the Commonwealth, two Chambersburg players were named -- senior midfielder Alexander Rosenbaum and senior defender Luke Stouffer. The Trojans also had junior forward Colten Arnold picked for the second team.

In the Colonial Division, Shippensburg's James Kiama (sr., mid) and Derek Boone (sr., mid) made the first team, as did Greencastle-Antrim's Seth Sprague (sr., goalkeeper) and Stephen Herman (sr., def) and Waynesboro's Jonah Smith (sr., for).

On the Colonial second team were Chris Eckstine of James Buchanan, a senior midfielder; Kyle Crider of Greencastle, a senior forward; Waynesboro's Jesse Smith, a sophomore forward; and Shippensburg's Ian Gayman (sr., mid), Kyle Baer (jr., mid) and Jonny Gerlach (so., keeper).
